Table tennis History

Table tennis was popularized in the United States and Europe in the early twentieth century. In the 1970's, table tennis served as a vehicle to help warm relations between China and the United States, when U.S. and Chinese table tennis players met at the 31st World Table Tennis Championship in Japan. In 1988, Table tennis became an official Olympic sport.

A skilled player can impart several varieties of spin to the ball, altering its trajectory and making it hard for their opponent to return. Players should keep their eyes on their opponent's racket when they are serving to avoid deception. It is best to try to return with a forehand, this takes practicing good footwork.
